Electronic Transcripts:
Official transcripts can be delivered electronically much faster than by traditional mail. Anderson University will also take official transcripts via email from the institution. Please have your current institution email the transcript directly to dataentry for the quickest processing time.
How Decisions Are Rendered
All courses taken and the overall grade-point average ratio from each institution attended are considered in the admissions evaluation. Additional consideration is given to the pattern of progress and the number of completed courses that transfer into the intended major. Anderson University admits qualified students without regard to age, color, gender, disability, or national/ethnic origin.

TRANSFERRING TO ANDERSON UNIVERSITY
Anderson University accepts transfer credits from regionally accredited universities (grade C or higher), as well as AP, IB, and CLEP credits. During your enrollment process, your course credits will be formally evaluated by the Registrar’s Office.

Non-Approved Transfer Courses
The following types of credit are not transferable and will not count toward a degree:
- Placement credit/testing scores granted by another institution
- Remedial or developmental courses
- Occupational, Vocational and some workforce courses from two-year institutions
Actual determination of transfer will not be made until the official transcript is sent and evaluated by the University Registrar.

Anderson University Transfer Program (AUTP)
Anderson University Transfer Program (AUTP)
Anderson University’s Transfer Program (AUTP) is designed to create a seamless transition for transferring students from community and technical colleges in South Carolina.
Student’s who satisfy academic requirements will be granted full admission to AU.
- Complete and submit your Intent to Participate form at your technical college
- Complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of college-level coursework
- Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher at the chosen technical college
- Apply to Anderson University
- Submit your official transcript to Anderson University’s Office of Admission
