Accreditations and Affiliations

Anderson University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees. Anderson University also may offer credentials such as certifications and diplomas at approved degree levels. Policy on Substantive Change Reporting: Anderson University is committed to fulfilling all institutional obligations of its membership in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges. Among these obligations is the notification requirement associated with any significant change in the University’s academic programs or mission. Anderson University has vested the responsibility for notification with the Office of the Provost. The University will provide the Commission with the requisite communication; e.g. letter of notification, prospectus, etc. in accordance with published deadlines for prior notification and/or approval.

Anderson University’s programs hold specialized accreditation from the following agencies:

  • National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST)
  • Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) through National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) Legacy

  • The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
