Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
PRSSA is the foremost pre-professional organization in the nation for students interested in communication-related fields. You’ll have the opportunity to network with PRSSA members, meet and connect with professionals in a wide range of communication fields, learn to fill leadership roles, and develop skills to build a strong professional resume.
Community Projects

Synthesis Magazine
Synthesis Magazine is a student-produced digital publication showcasing the work of the Anderson University College of Arts and Sciences–produced by students in the Communication Department’s Editing and Layout course. The magazine features stories about students, alumni, faculty and academic programs within the college.
Study Abroad
Travel to Germany & Switzerland with the Communication Department! You’ll learn how the emergence of printing technology changed the way we communicate and how Luther and Calvin leveraged existing technology to express their theological and social ideas and foster the Protestant Reformation.

Watkins Digital Media Lab
This lab is equipped with 20 workstations loaded with the latest edition of Adobe Creative Suite, the industry-leading software used by film, video and design professionals around the world. It is also equipped with a whisper room, which provides a soundproof space for recording voice overs.
Students are also able to check out cameras, tripods, microphones and other equipment.

Chiquola Digital Media Studio
The studio is set up with a cyclorama (curved green screen for producing virtual backgrounds), a stage lighting grid and studio cameras. Additionally, the space contains a podcasting station. The space is regularly used by students taking photography, corporate video production, documentary video production and podcasting courses.
