Program Overview

As a student in our Biochemistry program you will not only gain a strong foundation in science, but also engage in meaningful discussions about how science and faith can align, ensuring a well-rounded and holistic approach to your education. For example, you won’t just gain a scientific understanding of genetic engineering, but you will also learn to consider the societal and spiritual implications of manipulating the human genome. This degree will prepare you for medical school, pharmacy school, dental school, and many other graduate programs in biochemistry, biology, and genetics.

You will gain a strong foundation in science while also engaging in meaningful discussions about how science and faith can align, ensuring a well-rounded and holistic approach to your education.

This program will prepare you well for professional programs in the healthcare field. You can also explore diverse career opportunities in laboratory settings, including roles in biotechnology-based labs and pharmaceutical and medical manufacturing industries. Graduates of this program have gone on to become physicians, pharmacists, veterinarians, and dentists after attending graduate programs in South Carolina and around the country.

No previous degree is required to enroll in this program.

Two essays (prompts) or official SAT, ACT, or CLT scores are required during the application process.
Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when the are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.
