Program Overview
The Mathematics and Engineering program prepares you for success in fields that require high-level quantitative thinking
and engineering skills. You’ll be on Anderson University’s campus for the first three years and spend the last two years
at Clemson University. While here, you’ll learn to generate mathematical proofs, use advanced technology, and think
and write quantitatively. At Anderson University, you’ll receive the instruction you need to master complex mathematical
concepts, deepening your understanding of the field. Upon graduating from Anderson University you will continue your
studies in an engineering discipline at Clemson University.
As a Mathematics and Engineering student you will be prepared for a wide range of careers including actuary, data analyst, operations research analyst, teacher, or engineering in your chosen engineering discipline. You will graduate with a BS in Mathematics and a BS in Engineering and depending on what career path you choose, the starting salary can range from $45,000 to $90,000. If you choose to attend graduate school instead of going directly into the workforce, possible graduate programs include degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or Engineering programs.

Admission Requirements

No previous degree is required to enroll in this program.
- Transcript Required
Official high school or GED transcripts will need to be submitted as part of the application process for this program. Transfer students must submit official transcripts from their previous school.
- Application Deadline
Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when the are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.

The Mathematics and Engineering program is unique as it is a collaborative program between Anderson University and Clemson University. You will complete your first three years at AU before completing your final two years at Clemson. When you graduate you will have a degree from each school. This dual degree program prepares you for a wide range of career opportunities in the mathematics and engineering fields. While you are at AU you will learn mathematics, physics, and engineering through classroom and one-on-one mentorship experiences with faculty members who are experienced and active in the engineering field.
