Master of Education (M.Ed.), Administration and Supervision

Program Overview

The Master of Education in Administration and Supervision provides you with the foundational knowledge to become an outstanding administrator. Through online coursework, you’ll delve into vital subjects with experienced faculty and your education colleagues. Class topics will range from strategic planning for a learner-focused educational system to policies, programs, and educational trends. Our online class format provides you with relevant coursework and the flexibility to obtain your degree in a way that works best for your schedule. You will complete two internships and gain field experience to prepare you for your career after graduation.

As a student in this program you will gain knowledge and experience in administration and supervision at the K-6 level or the 7-12 level. Upon successful completion of this program and the certification requirements, you will be prepared for and recommended to the South Carolina Department of Education for administration and supervision certification.

This program will prepare you to work as a principal, assistant principal, or curriculum specialist. The national average salary for a principal is $101,320. Our graduates are placed in schools in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee counties. If you want to pursue further education, you will be qualified for an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) or Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree. The Anderson University College of Education offers both of these programs.
