Master of Arts in Teaching: Elementary Education (Grades 2-6)

Program Overview

The Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education degree is designed to help professionals who didn’t major in education become elementary school teachers. As part of this 52-credit hour program, you’ll complete the four literacy courses that South Carolina requires for all teachers. You’ll be highly qualified to teach second through sixth grade students in public or private schools or other specialized learning centers. You’ll also be equipped to help parents teach their children, such as in a home-school setting. This program can be completed in just over two years and consists of evening classes offered at the University Center Greenville.

UPDATED – PRAXIS Core scores not required for admission. But students must pass all parts of PRAXIS Core or be exempt prior to the start of EDU 516 0 can exempt PRAXIS Core with a 22 ACT composite score, 1650 SAT score (2005-2015) or 1100 SAT score (March 2016-present)
