B.S. in Chemistry

Program Overview

As a Chemistry major at Anderson University, you’ll gain knowledge in core chemistry principles, critical thinking, and effective communication of scientific information. You’ll learn proficiency in chemical experimentation, data analysis, and problem-solving. You’ll also become familiar with modern instrumentation, laboratory techniques, and learning environments. You’ll apply scientific reasoning in your academics and safety procedures in the classroom. You’ll even participate in research opportunities and collaborate with professors to receive personalized learning that will allow you to gain hands-on experience and excellent academic results.

Students will gain a strong foundation in scientific reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving, along with a deep understanding of chemical principles, laboratory techniques, data analysis, and safety procedures.

A B.S. in Chemistry prepares graduates for careers in laboratory research, pharmaceuticals, environmental science, materials, chemical manufacturing, as well as roles in technical sales, and education.   This program will also provide a strong foundation for graduate or professional school in chemistry, medicine, pharmacy, or related fields.

Admission Requirements
No previous degree is required to enroll in this program.
Official high school or GED transcripts will need to be submitted as part of the application process for this program. Transfer students must submit official transcripts from their previous school.
Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when the are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.
