Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner

Program Overview

The Family Nurse Practitioner concentration is designed to teach you a holistic approach to patient care that will equip you to meet your patient’s physical needs. We offer a flexible program catered to the working nurse. You’ll take classes like Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Procedures, Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology, Primary Care over the Lifespan, and Care of Special Populations. These classes train you to assess, diagnose, and treat disease and promote a lifetime of wellness. In addition to your classes, you’ll complete a clinical residency as an FNP. The FNP concentration prepares you to serve as an FNP in a clinic, hospital, or an industrial setting, where you’ll serve patients with compassion and competence.

The Family Nurse Practitioner concentration will prepare you to serve as an FNP in a clinic, a hospital, or an industrial setting. You’ll be ready to serve your patients with compassion and competence. In addition to the rewarding work, you’ll receive excellent compensation in your field. Average salaries range from $90,000 to $110,000.
