Bachelor of Arts (BA), Art: Photography

Program Overview
Photography today is bigger than ever—and it’s still growing. The exciting thing? Many of the careers our students will step into don’t even exist yet. At Anderson University, we prepare photographers who are adaptable, inventive, and ready for an ever-changing creative market.

In our program, you won’t just learn how to take a good picture—you’ll learn how to see differently. You’ll master the craft of studio lighting and darkroom processes. You’ll explore conceptual and narrative work. You’ll expand into video and 3D scanning. You’ll work with real clients, building a portfolio that reflects both professional know-how and personal vision.

Most importantly, you’ll gain the kind of wide-ranging skills that open doors.

Whether you dream of shooting editorial spreads, portraits, weddings, commercial campaigns, or fine art projects—or whether you’re drawn to roles like creative director, art director, or a future career that hasn’t even been named yet—this program gives you the tools to step into the field with confidence.

More than anything, we’re cultivating artists who know how to adapt, innovate, and thrive wherever their creativity takes them.
