Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Program Overview

In Anderson University’s Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, you’ll learn evidence-based practices for serving others as a counselor or therapist with a Christian foundation. You’ll also gain real-world experience with a practicum and two internships. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to pursue licensure in the state of South Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor. This program is also designed to be completed remotely, so you can pursue graduate education while remaining rooted in your community.

Upon graduation from the program, you will be equipped to apply evidence-based theories to real-world situations as a counselor. You’ll have gained experience in self-reflection and self-awareness that allow you to create a caring and ethical counseling practice. You will have acquired the knowledge necessary to diagnose and treat a broad range of mental health issues both in individual and group counseling contexts.
