Doctor of Education (Ed.D.), Leadership and Artificial Intelligence

Program Overview

The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership and Artificial Intelligence prepares experienced professionals to lead organizations through digital transformation and AI-driven innovation. Designed for leaders in education, business, government, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations, the program combines leadership, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, governance, and applied research. 

Throughout the program, you’ll explore the ethical, strategic, and operational impact of artificial intelligence while applying your learning to real-world challenges through residency experiences, applied research, and a culminating doctoral inquiry project. 

Students develop the skills to evaluate emerging technologies, lead AI initiatives, make data-informed decisions, and guide responsible technology adoption. Through applied research and real-world learning experiences, graduates are prepared to lead organizational change, develop AI governance strategies, and drive innovation across diverse industries. 

Upon successful completion of the Ed.D. Leadership and Artificial Intelligence, graduates will be able to: 1. Demonstrate Advanced Leadership Competencies Apply contemporary leadership theories, models, and practices to effectively lead individuals, teams, and organizations in complex and rapidly changing environments. 2. Lead Organizational Change and Digital Transformation Design, implement, and evaluate strategic initiatives that support organizational innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable improvement through emerging technologies and artificial intelligence. 3. Apply Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics to Decision Making Evaluate and utilize artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, and decision intelligence frameworks to support evidence-based organizational decision making. 4. Develop Responsible AI Governance and Risk Management Strategies Create policies, governance structures, and risk management frameworks that promote ethical, secure, transparent, and legally compliant use of artificial intelligence technologies. 5. Integrate Technology and Innovation to Improve Organizational Performance Assess and implement technology-enabled solutions that enhance operational effectiveness, workforce development, stakeholder engagement, and organizational outcomes. 6. Conduct Scholarly Research to Address Problems of Practice Design and execute rigorous applied research using appropriate quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches to investigate and solve authentic organizational challenges. 7. Contribute Original Scholarship in Leadership, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence Generate, disseminate, and apply scholarly knowledge that advances leadership practice, organizational innovation, and the responsible use of emerging technologies in diverse professional contexts.
