Program Overview

The Marketing program at Anderson University might be the right choice for you if your career goals include being involved with customer-facing activities that help position organizations for success. With the goal of increasing your value as a potential employee, you’ll graduate from the program with the skills need to obtain certificates in leading strategies, such as Google Analytics and HubSpot Inbound, as well as with a portfolio of professional projects to show employers. During your studies you’ll have the opportunity to network with marketing professionals that include local manufacturers, organizations, and marketing firms. This program prepares you to enter the field as an advertising manager, marketing manager, social media manager, or digital marketing analyst in a variety of settings including large marketing and advertising firms, boutique marketing agencies, or marketing departments.

You’ll learn strategic innovation to identify key trends in the market that will help you determine how to develop new products. You’ll learn digital media strategies to help increase consumer engagement and brand awareness. And you’ll apply these skills to products as you design a live, interactive marketing campaign for a business that you are assigned to. Specific areas of study include professional sales, advertising, market research, consumer behavior, negotiation skills, digital and social media marketing, and new product development. As well, students will learn how marketing professionals help set the vision of a firm through the establishment of strategic initiatives that improve customer relationships and overall organizational effectiveness.
