Outside Scholarships
The financial aid process can see overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. There are so many types of scholarships out there. Below is a list of a few scholarships that either past students have received or ones that we recommend students should apply for.

AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students | This scholarship program, through the American Institute of Certified Accountants, provides awards of up to $10,000 to outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession seeking Undergraduate/Graduate degrees. These awards are funded by the AIPCA Foundation from funds contributed by the AICPA, its members, public accounting firms, and others. The program has been in existence for more than 20 years and has awarded more than $6 million in scholarships. Scholarships are awarded each July for the following academic year. |
The Dana Kull Memorial Scholarship | This scholarship comes from Ocean City Tabernacle and awards funds to students who pursue Undergraduate / Graduate / Seminary education leading to vocations of Christian service. Learn More |
6th Annual Religious Scholars Program | This program is for Graduate students who are pursuing advanced degrees and are committed to ministry as a career. Scholarship recipients receive $2,500 to pay for tuition fees, books, and other costs. The application period runs from February to early April. Learn More |
The Earnest Scholarship | This program is giving away $250,000 in scholarships for Undergraduate / Graduate students picked at random. There are no entry fees or essays. Learn More |
First in My Family Scholarship | This need-based scholarship is offered to Hispanic students who are the first in their family to attend college. Hispanic-Americans enrolled as full-time Undergraduate students at approved accredited institutions may apply. Learn More |
The J.E. Sirrine Scholarship Program | This scholarship is available to high school graduates in The School District of Greenville County (SC) and is made possible through a bequest from Joseph Emory Sirrine, a textile engineer and architect who died in 1947. Learn More |
The Gates Millennium Scholarship | This scholarship provides outstanding African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian-Pacific American, and Hispanic-American students with an opportunity to complete an Undergraduate college education (all disciplines) or a Graduate education (limited disciplines). The Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program | The Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program is intended for Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctorate students interested in pursuing the basic science and technology innovations that can be applied to the DHS mission. This education program is intended to ensure a diverse and highly talented science and technology community. Learn More |

National Federation of the Blind Scholarship | Each year at its national convention in July, the NFB gives a broad array of thirty scholarships to recognize achievement by Undergraduate blind scholars. Learn More |
Ascent Student Loans $1000 Scholarships | This organization will be giving away one $1,000 scholarship each day this summer. No essay is required. Learn More |
SCWF Scholarships | The South Carolina Wildlife Federation is awarding $500 scholarships to eligible Undergraduate / Graduate students pursuing a degree in environmental fields of study. Learn More |
Upsolve Access to Justice Scholarship | This scholarship is designed to encourage students to create ideas for changes with our country’s legal system. A 2-page essay is required to be eligible for this scholarship. Learn More |
SCNF Scholarship | This scholarship is for qualified Undergraduate ($2,000) and Graduate ($3,000) students, who enroll in a nursing program (RN, Masters, Doctoral). Learn More |
PNC Student Lending Scholarship | This $2,000 scholarship will be given to one random U.S. college student in the U.S. who creates a financial literacy account. View the application to see if you are eligible to apply. Learn More |
Women and Children Succeeding (WACS) | WACS supports moms who are working toward their Undergraduate degree. These wrap-around services include financial assistance with childcare, transportation, textbooks, supplies, and emergency costs that occur during enrollment. True Eye Experts | True Eye Experts is awarding $1,000 scholarship to eligible students. Learn More |
Discover Student Loans Scholarship | Students and parents enter only once and their name is considered every month for a $5,000 scholarship. Learn More |
