Program Overview
The Ph.D. in Preaching is crafted to elevate your homiletical potential to preach with greater impact as well as mentor others to teach more effectively. Clamp Divinity School is well-positioned to advance scholarship in the proclamation of God’s Word. It is the publisher of Preaching magazine and a sponsor of the annual National Conference on Preaching. This 48-credit hour online program incorporates seasoned full-time faculty members and academically qualified pastor-scholars to facilitate guided seminars. Your professors and mentors will partner with you during your second year of the program to guide you through the entire dissertation process.

Admission Requirements
- Previous Degree Required
A master’s degree in Ministry or Divinity (or equivalent) from a regionally accredited institution or from an institution accredited by ATS, ABHE, or TRACS is required for enrollment in this program.
- Transcript Required
Official graduate transcripts will need to be submitted as part of the application process for this program. An applicant must have at least one graduate level preaching course.
- Additional Admission Requirements
A minimum of three years of experience in a ministry vocation. Students applying for the Ph.D. should be serving in a ministry position that offers consistent preaching opportunities.
