Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB), Economics

Program Overview

As an Economics major at Anderson University, you’ll gain skills in mathematical reasoning, statistical analysis, and economic problem-solving. You’ll be equipped to evaluate monetary and fiscal policies at the corporate or individual level. After graduating, you may find a job as an economist or pursue graduate education in economics or business. No matter where your journey leads you, you’ll have gained foundational knowledge with both academic and practical value. 

Upon graduation from the program, you will be equipped with a foundation in classical liberalism that emphasizes the value of free markets, free enterprise, and individual choice. You’ll study mathematical modeling and statistical analysis, which will enable you to evaluate monetary and fiscal practices. You may serve others by helping them make wise financial decisions and enabling businesses to thrive. Funding also may be available for students to participate in research conferences, helping you to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Economics program graduates may be prepared to work as economists, financial analysts, or research analysts. You also may choose to continue your education with a graduate degree in economics or business.

No previous degree is required to enroll in this program.
Official high school or GED transcripts will need to be submitted as part of the application process for this program. Transfer students must submit official transcripts from their previous school.

Two essays (prompts) or official SAT, ACT, or CLT scores are required during the application process.

Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when the are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.
