The Anderson University Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Community is planning a week-long celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Due to inclement weather, the MLK Day service scheduled for Monday, January 17 has been postponed to 10:10 a.m. Friday, January 21 at Henderson Auditorium in the Rainey Fine Arts Center. It will be a moving time of worship that will include inspirational music, the West African Dance Ensemble, and speaker Don Harper, former chairman of the Board of Trust. Mr. Harper, who is the first African-American to chair Anderson’s Board of Trust, will share a message followed by a signing of his book, Blessed is the Man.

On Tuesday, January 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Pastor and author Gary Martin speaking in the Banquet Hall of the G. Ross Anderson Jr. Student Center has been canceled.

On Thursday, January 20, come and enjoy dessert with CONNECT Club regarding the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in room 302 of the G. Ross Anderson Jr. Student Center. Seating is limited.

All week long, from Monday, January 17 through Friday January 21, the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Community will be accepting donations of hygiene products to help the community through two organizations, Able SC and South Main and Mercy Center.
