Greylyn Hall

Welcome to Greylyn Hall

Whitaker Hall and Greylyn Hall are suite-style residences reserved for women–Whitaker Hall houses junior and/or seniors, and Greylyn Hall primarily is meant for first-year students. These new buildings feature three-room suites with two students per room and two full bathrooms per suite. Bathrooms include a private shower and toilet. Every room includes a bunkable bed, wardrobe, dresser, desk, and desk chair per person. The 102 students in each of these buildings gather in their lobbies to watch movies with friends or cook a meal together. Located on Boulevard, these buildings are a short walk from the center of campus and are serviced by Trojan Transit. Parking is available in a well-lit, spacious lot directly behind the facilities.

Specifications

Greylyn Hall is designated primarily for first year females and feature three-room suites with two students per room and two full bathrooms per suite. There are 102 females in each of these buildings.

Room Dimensions: 11′ x 16′; ceiling height varies by floor

Amenities: Cable TV, wireless internet

Furniture: Loft-/bunk-able bed (80W x 36D x 36H), extra-long twin mattress, wardrobe, dresser (30W x 20D x 30H), desk (42W x 24D x 30H), and chair (20W x 23.5D x 33H)

Bathroom: two full bathrooms per suite with a private shower and toilet

Laundry: Laundry facility located on each floor

Lobby: Extra-large lobby in Clamp Hall available for use for all Greylyn Hall residents featuring two TVs, a ping pong table, an air hockey table, a full kitchen, and ample seating for meetings and events. Smaller lobbies in Greylyn Hall and Whitaker with TVs, seating, and full kitchens

Staff: One Professional Residence Director living in Clamp Hall and one student Resident Advisor for each floor

RESOURCES

Residence Directors
Full time, professional live-in staff oversee each residential living area and are responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and robust living learning community in the residence halls.

Resident Advisors
Student Resident Advisors live in every residence hall and serve as a resource and support for students. RA’s intentionally get to know residents, host floor events, and assist in connecting residents to resources around campus.

Facilities and Maintenance Team
A dedicated facilities and maintenance team serves each living area and residence hall.
