Academic Background
Dr. Caito’s mission is to equip the church to think better. He is an academic entrepreneur who loves turning vision into reality and values curiosity, clarity, and collaboration. He has served in non-profit leadership with Habitat for Humanity, Samaritan’s Purse, and Global Mapping International. When not deep in thought, he may be hanging out with his wife, four children, two cats, and one dog; watching his youngest son play soccer; taking a motorcycle road trip; or playing disc golf.

Fast Facts
The proof’s in the pudding. The foresight, competency, and mission focus of AU’s leadership is evident in its ability to grow the Center for Leadership & Organizations (CLO) from 0 to 100+ PhD students over its first five years. A Christian institution of higher education where I am free to be my full authentic Christian self and rigorous social scientist is a place I want to teach, research, and serve.
My PhD students are sold on the Center for Leadership & Organizations’ mission to prepare them as experts in their fields. A teacher’s highest joy is a motivated student: I have them in spades.God designs human choice to be bounded by institutions, trust, power, capital, and others’ choices. Successful Christian leaders are sensitive to these dynamics and align them strategically and ethically to their mission. Live out this prayer and you will be more likely to take appropriate responsibility and less likely to burn out. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Reinhold Niebuhr (1926)
