Outside Scholarships
The list below includes some of the scholarships that either past AU students have received or ones that students might consider applying for. Please note that requirements/amounts may change.
Anderson University no longer accepts paper checks for Outside Scholarship payments. All payments must now be submitted online.
If you plan to submit multiple scholarships with a single payment (or are submitting more than five scholarships every semester, please email andersonuniversity@backpackpay.com and our team will walk you through bulk submission setup process. If your organization has questions or concerns surrounding submitting payment electronically, please contact andersonuniversity@backpackpay.com for other arrangements.

AICPA Scholarships for Accounting Students | The AICPA Foundation, established in 1922, awards more than $1 million in scholarships, grants, and fellowships to hundreds of students each year, with recipients receiving on average $5,000 towards their education. Must be 18+ to enter and submit entry by the deadline. Learn more |
Ascent’s $1,000 Power of Education Scholarship Giveaway | Must be 18+ to enter and submit entry by the deadline. Learn More |
Ascent Student Loans $1000 Scholarships | This organization will be giving away one $1,000 scholarship each day this summer. No essay is required. Learn More |
The Dana Kull Memorial Scholarship | This scholarship comes from Ocean City Tabernacle and awards funds to students who pursue Undergraduate / Graduate / Seminary education leading to vocations of Christian service. Learn More |
The Department of Defense (DoD), Scholarship-for-Service Program | The SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program is a combined educational and workforce development opportunity for STEM students. SMART offers scholarships for Undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral students pursuing a STEM degree. SMART offers two scholarship opportunities, the SMART Scholarship and the Ronald V. Dellums Memorial SMART Scholarship. All scholarship recipients receive full tuition, annual stipends, internships, and guaranteed civilian employment with the Department of Defense after graduation. The Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program | The Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program is intended for Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctorate students interested in pursuing the basic science and technology innovations that can be applied to the DHS mission. This education program is intended to ensure a diverse and highly talented science and technology community. Learn More |
The J.E. Sirrine Scholarship Program | This scholarship is available to high school graduates in The School District of Greenville County (SC) and is made possible through a bequest from Joseph Emory Sirrine, a textile engineer and architect who died in 1947. Learn More |
National Federation of the Blind Scholarship | Each year at its national convention in July, the NFB gives a broad array of thirty scholarships to recognize achievement by Undergraduate blind scholars. Learn More |
PNC Student Lending Scholarship | This $10,000 scholarship will be given to one random U.S. college student in the U.S. who creates a financial literacy account. View the application to see if you are eligible to apply. Learn More |
SCWF Scholarships | The South Carolina Wildlife Federation is awarding $500 scholarships to eligible Undergraduate / Graduate students pursuing a degree in environmental fields of study. Learn More |
SCNF Scholarship | This scholarship is for qualified Undergraduate ($2,000) and Graduate ($3,000) students, who enroll in a nursing program (RN, Masters, Doctoral). Learn More |
True Eye Experts | True Eye Experts is awarding $1,000 scholarship to eligible students. Learn More |
Tylenol | Tylenol is giving away $250,000 in scholarships to Graduate students pursuing careers in healthcare. View the application to see if you are eligible to apply. Learn More |
Upsolve Access to Justice Scholarship | This scholarship is designed to encourage students to create ideas for changes with our country’s legal system. A 2-page essay is required to be eligible for this scholarship. Learn More |
