Bachelor of Arts (BA), Art: Art Education (K-12)

Program Overview

The Art Education concentration prepares you to transform classrooms into nurturing environments where new generations are inspired to express themselves. This program develops your artistic capabilities and your skills in lesson planning, classroom instruction, and assessment. Your studio work will include painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and photography instruction, as well as courses in art history. You’ll work with knowledgeable, award-winning professors and mentors throughout the program. As you approach your student teaching semester, you’ll have gained more than 100 hours of experience in public school classrooms.

No previous degree is required to enroll in this program.

Two essays (prompts) or official SAT, ACT, or CLT scores are required during the application process.
Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when the are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.
