Trojan Textbook Program

Getting Your Textbooks Just Got a Whole Lot Easier

Anderson University partners with eCampus to deliver textbooks and accompanying software automatically to undergraduate students. It’s called the Trojan Textbook Program.

Once enrolled in classes, materials are automatically and conveniently accessible to students. In other words, all you need to do is enroll in class–your text materials will be waiting for you.

What is the Trojan Textbook Program?

The Trojan Textbook Program is an Anderson University initiative to make course materials more affordable to its students. Through the program, the cost of textbooks and accompanying class software is included in a student’s tuition.

The Trojan Textbook Program reduces the cost of course materials and makes accessing them more convenient, thereby setting students up for academic success from day one.

Who is Included in the Trojan Textbook Program?

The Trojan Textbook Program is for traditional and post-traditional undergraduate and ABSN students.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Trojan Textbook Program

Any textbook and/or required course software is included in the program. Supplies for graphic design; art classes; or non-text materials (including lab coats) are not included.

All traditional and non-traditional undergraduate and ABSN students are included in the program. Consortium, graduate, and high school concurrent students are not included in the Trojan Textbook Program.

You’ll no longer need to order textbooks required for your courses. See below ‘How will I receive my textbooks?’ for information on how and when your textbooks will be provided.

Yes. However, please be considerate to the next student who will get the book. A reasonable amount of writing and highlighting is acceptable.

Depending on the course, you may be provided a digital textbook subscription or a physical textbook rental.

Digital Textbook Subscriptions:
Digital textbooks subscriptions will be available in the Canvas course.

Physical Textbook Rentals:
For traditional undergraduate students, required textbooks will be ordered automatically and shipped to AU Outfitters once you enroll in a course. Important: Please verify that your mailing address is verified on your Digital Bookshelf

For non-traditional undergraduate and ABSN students, required textbooks will be ordered automatically and shipped to your home address once you enroll in a course.

You can locate your textbook on your Digital Bookshelf.

If you require textbook format or other accommodations, please contact the Center for Student Success Center at studentsuccess@andersonuniversity.edu

No return is required for digital textbooks. Access to digital course materials will expire automatically at the end of the subscription period.

Physical textbooks must be returned to eCampus within seven (7) days of dropping, withdrawing from, or completing your course(s). Students will be charged for any physical textbooks that are not returned by the deadline.

You may return your textbooks in person at AU Outfitters or ship them back to eCampus at no cost by following the step-by-step guide.

If you would like to keep your physical textbook rental, visit the eCampus dashboard and purchase the textbook at a discounted price.

Please view this step-by-step guide on how to purchase rentals.

Yes. If you opt out, you’ll receive a credit on your account of $10 per credit hour (up to 15 hours.) For example, if you are enrolled in one 3-hour course, you will receive a $30 credit; if enrolled for 11 hours, you will receive a $110 credit; if enrolled in 15 hours or more, you will receive a $150 credit. The credit maxes out at $150.

To opt out of the Trojan Textbook Program, please email trojantextbooks@andersonuniversity.edu.

Yes. The deadline for on-campus undergraduate students to opt out is three weeks prior to the beginning of the semester.

The deadline for non-traditional undergraduate and ABSN students enrolled in both 7A and 7B courses is 14 days before the 7A session begins. If you are enrolled in 7B courses only, the deadline is 14 days before the 7B session begins.

Opt out credits will be applied to all eligible student accounts after the add/drop period for 7B has passed.

Students are required to verify their shipping address each semester. Failure to verify your address may prevent your textbook order from being processed correctly and could delay the delivery of your course materials.

To verify your address, log in to your Digital Bookshelf and select “My Account” and then “Edit.” If you would like your physical textbooks shipped to AU Outfitters for campus pickup, you may select that option during the verification process.

Step-by-step instructions

If you add a course after the semester begins, your course materials will be processed within 48 hours (excluding weekends). Digital materials will be added to your Digital Bookshelf, and physical materials will be shipped once your order has been processed.

There is no need to contact the Trojan Textbook Program to notify us of your schedule change. Your new course enrollment will be updated automatically, and your course materials will be processed accordingly.

Physical textbooks are due to AU Outfitters 72 hours after your final exam. To avoid charges on your account, get these in as soon as you can! If you wish to ship these back to eCampus, follow the instructions here

Please note: The Digital Bookshelf used with the Trojan Textbook Program (TTP) is different from the Digital Bookshelf available through the iPad app. Although the two bookshelves are connected, you must first open your TTP Digital Bookshelf in a web browser before your materials will sync to the Digital Bookshelf app on your iPad.

No. The textbook format (digital or physical) provided for your course is determined by the Trojan Textbook Program and cannot be changed or exchanged.

For example, if your course includes a digital textbook but you would prefer a physical copy, you are welcome to purchase or obtain a physical copy on your own. However, you cannot switch the digital textbook provided through the program for a physical one.

If you were given a physical textbook: You must return it within 7 days of dropping the course. If you do not return it within that time, you will be charged for the textbook.

If you were given a digital textbook: You don’t need to do anything. Access will automatically expire and the book will be removed from your account.
