Anderson University maintains appropriate educational records for each student and assures the confidentiality of such records consistent with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 and the guide developed by the Committee on Records Management and Transcripts Adequacy of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).
Student records are confidential and will be released to persons outside the college only on the written request of the student. You can grant access to a third-party through workday; click here to learn more.
The FERPA release shall remain in effect unless revoked in writing by the student. You can fill out the request to revoke authorization online.
Directory Information
Anderson University protects the privacy of its students in compliance with the aforementioned FERPA regulations. Items listed in “directory information” are generally considered open to public inquiry. The following are considered directory information:
- Student Name
- Address (does not include e-mail address)
- Telephone number
- Dates of Attendance
- Full-time or part-time status of enrollment
- Major and minor fields of study
- Degrees received
