Bachelor of Arts (BA), Homeland Security and Emergency Services: Emergency Services Management

Program Overview

 The Homeland Security and Emergency Services: Emergency Services Management concentration provides you with the
foundational knowledge and experience you need to be a proficient manager in the field. You’ll learn how to deal with
the complexities and challenges of managing agencies in an organization sound and ethical manner. This program
prepares you for careers in agencies in homeland security, emergency services, and emergency management at the local, state, and federal level. You can also pursue work in private organizations, the healthcare system, industrial safety and security. Upon completion of this program, you’ll posses the skills to think critically, act decisively, and promote creative and effective solutions to challenges within your profession and community.

This degree is designed to prepare graduates for management and leadership positions within local, state, tribal, and federal emergency management agencies, emergency services organizations (e.g., law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services). Homeland security/defense entities, as well as non-governmental and private organizations involved in emergency/disaster management, healthcare system emergency management, and industrial/corporate safety and security.

Admission Requirements
No previous degree is required to enroll in this program.
Official high school or GED transcripts will need to be submitted as part of the application process for this program. Transfer students must submit official transcripts from their previous school.
Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when the are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.
