Bachelor of Arts (BA), Homeland Security and Emergency Services: Emergency Services Management

Program Overview

The on-campus undergraduate Homeland Security and Emergency Services: Emergency Services Management concentration provides students with the foundational knowledge and experience to be proficient managers in the field. You’ll learn to deal with the complexities and challenges of managing agencies in an organizationally sound and ethical manner. This program is designed to prepare you to be a manager and leader in the fields of homeland security, emergency services, or emergency management. Upon program completion, you’ll possess the skills to think critically, act decisively and promote creative and effective solutions to the challenges within your profession and community.

This degree is designed to prepare graduates for management and leadership positions within local, state, tribal, and federal emergency management agencies, emergency services organizations (e.g., law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services). Homeland security/defense entities, as well as non-governmental and private organizations involved in emergency/disaster management, healthcare system emergency management, and industrial/corporate safety and security.

No previous degree is required to enroll in this program.

Two essays (prompts) or official SAT, ACT, or CLT scores are required during the application process.
Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when the are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.
