“Preach the Word!” is the theme of the 30th annual National Conference on Preaching, planned for May 21-23 at The Church Without Walls in Houston. The conference is sponsored annually by Preaching magazine and Anderson University.
The conference will feature a series of theme addresses, plus a series of sermons based on the New Testament book of Second Timothy, along with a variety of practical workshops on preaching-related topics. Among the speakers scheduled for the event are: Ralph Douglas West, pastor of the host church; HB Charles, pastor of Shiloh Church in Jacksonville, FL; Stephen Rummage, pastor of Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, OK; Charlie Dates, pastor of Progressive Baptist Church in Chicago, IL; and Bryan Chapell, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, IL.
Additional speakers include: Dean Inserra, pastor of City Church in Tallahassee, FL; Rufus Smith, pastor of Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN; Joel Gregory, professor of preaching at Truett Theological Seminary in Waco, TX; David Allen, professor of preaching at Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, TX; Shinchan Jeong, pastor of First Korean Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, TX; Chris Hartwell, pastor of Cross Roads Community Church in Pearland, TX; and France Brown, professor of preaching at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, TX.
