Graphic Design Students Sweep ADDYs

Students in the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University won six ADDYS, more than any other university.

Students in the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University (SCSA), won numerous ADDYS (American Advertising Awards)—more than any other university. At the local level for South Carolina, students took 24 of the 30 total awards, including Best in Show and Judge’s Choice. 

District Level Winners from Anderson University:

  • Student Gold ADDY Award: Jullianna Eckardt of Anderson University for “In Transit Preparatory Travel Guide” (Book Design) 
  • Student Gold ADDY Award: Anastasia Shcherbina of Anderson University for “Nestling Journey Book Series”
  • Student Silver ADDY Award: Jullianna Eckardt of Anderson University for “In Transit Preparatory Travel Guide” (Publication Design – Cover)
  • Student Silver ADDY Award: Daniel Bas, Steven Hammond, Natalie Stoliarchuk, and Regan Thorpe of Anderson University for “integrate magazine”
  • Student Silver ADDY Award: Ivy Leaves Team of Anderson University for “Ivy Leaves Journal”
  • Student Silver ADDY Award: Matt Ferrell, James Glymph, Miranda Mace, Sara Pepper of Anderson University for “Serious Play”

The winners go on to compete at the national level.

“I couldn’t be more proud of these students,” said Dr. Timothy Speaker, associate professor of art and design.

The Awards are given by the American Advertising Federation, a professional organization composed of leading advertisers, advertising agencies and media companies.
