Anderson University’s International Graduate School invites applications for a full-time position as Principal Designated School Official (PDSO). The Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) will provide comprehensive assistance and support for the university’s international student community and the operations of the International Graduate School. The role of PDSO will ensure all F-1 students are compliant with federal regulations through the U.S Department of Homeland Security by issuing I-20’s. employment authorization, and providing guidance on various immigration matters including, practical trainings, program extensions, travel, insurance, and visa compliance. This position will also manage all required federal reporting and documentation as well as maintain all records for the International Graduate School. Additionally, the PDSO will process study abroad applications using the VIA software program and perform essential administrative tasks including, hiring and managing student employees, ordering and maintaining departmental supplies and social media platforms, credit card reconciliation, and will contribute and support workshops and events designed by the International Graduate School, as needed.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two-three years of experience within higher education is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, software management programs like VIA, Terra Dotta, and student information software, like Workday. This position requires proven time-management and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as a high level of discretion and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently while embracing the Christ-centered mission of Anderson University and effectively serving a diverse student population with warmth, excellence, and a heart for student success is essential.
