Administrative Assistant – Center for Student Success

Anderson University’s Center for Student Success department invites applications for a full-time position as Administrative Assistant. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the David Larson McPhillips Center for Student Success, serving as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Administrative Assistant will manage front office operations, answering and directing phone calls, greeting guests, scheduling appointments, and will hire, train, and supervise student office assistants. The Administrative Assistant also coordinates and proctors testing services, maintains up-to-date accessibility records, and assists with the Priority Registration process and the Vocational Rehabilitation Program. Additional responsibilities include purchasing office supplies, preparing invoices, and supporting other administrative tasks as assigned by the Dean of the Center for Student Success.

Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a bachelor’s degree and previous experience in student or accessibility services, specifically in a college or university setting, is preferred. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn institutional systems such as Workday. The ability to maintain confidentiality of student information and a commitment to the holistic development of students and support of Anderson University’s academic and Christ-centered mission is essential.
