Academic Success Advisor – Part-Time

Anderson University Department for Enrollment Services invites applications for a part-time (25-28 hours/week) Academic Success Advisor. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The Academic Success Advisor plays a vital role in engaging and retaining graduate students, providing personalized guidance from their first semester through graduation. This role requires exceptional customer service, proactive communication, and a commitment to student success. By building strong relationships, the advisor ensures students remain on track with their academic goals, supporting retention and graduation outcomes. The Academic Success Advisor serves as a key resource for students, offering timely assistance with course selection, registration, academic policies, and other aspects of the graduate experience.

A bachelor’s degree is required. The ideal candidate will be highly familiar with the assigned graduate programs, including course schedules and rotations, and adept at using systems like Slate (CRM), Workday (SIS), and Canvas (LMS). Responsibilities include regular communication with students to provide reminders for key deadlines, guidance on academic processes, and encouragement to persist through challenges. Additionally, the advisor will monitor student progress, identify and address potential obstacles, and suggest improvements to enhance the overall student experience. This role is pivotal in ensuring students feel supported and connected throughout their academic journey.

This is an on-site, in person role. Travel to the University Center in Greenville will be required to fulfill position responsibilities.
