Alexander Technique

Shellie Cash, Former Dance Division Head and Full Professor of Dance at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (1994-2013), is an ATI Certified (1600 hour) Alexander Technique Teacher since 1998. She has a BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah and MA in Movement Studies and Dance from Wesleyan University. Her professional dance career credits include: Ballet West, New Jersey Ballet, Tanz Forum (Germany), Peter Goss Dance Company (France), Ballet Theatre du Silence (France) and DanceNowMiami (when she was 50 years old!). She has guest taught AT and Dance for Guangzhou Art Academy (China), Bartholin International Ballet Seminar, Royal Danish Ballet (Denmark), and been on faculty for Interlochen Arts Academy, New World School for the Arts, SC Governors School for Arts and Humanities as well as Joffrey Summer Programs in LA, Dallas and Atlanta. Ms. Cash maintains her private AT practice virtually and in-person from Greenville, SC., and serves as the Resident Alexander Teacher for DanceNowMiami.  She especially enjoys working with dancers, helping them develop their artistry to deeper, more fulfilling levels of mastery.
