Academic Background
I’m originally from Miami, Florida, and earned my BA in Political Science from the University of Florida. I went on to complete an MA in Political Science and an MA in History at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Prior to joining Anderson University, I worked as a policy analyst at the South Carolina Institute for Energy Studies. Along with teaching history and political science courses, I also teach environmental policy. I’ve lived in upstate South Carolina for nearly two decades, and I’m married with three daughters and two dogs.

Fast Facts
I wanted to be at a place that engages both the faculty and students in the totality of the human experience: family; faith; and knowledge. Most other places view this as separate spheres of life, but not AU.
Majoring in history and political science opens a wide range of career opportunities, from pursuing advanced degrees in graduate school to entering the dynamic world of corporate America!
The two things that I find most enjoyable about working at AU is that the faculty treat each either more like family rather then competitors and that students actively support each other, both in and out of class.
Diplomatic history, international relations, revolution, dictators, environmental policy, and modern history.
