Fast Facts

I love the ability to teach about the human body and the art of nursing from a Biblical perspective. Providing holistic care for patients is important and I love that AU incorporates this into their nursing curriculum.

Nursing school is one of the hardest things you may choose to do in life, but the rewards in the nursing profession are worth the challenge. There are many options within the field of nursing, but no matter the specific type of nursing one chooses, every nurse is motivated to care and advocate for people.

My favorite aspect of my work is the students – they are young, energetic, smart and hard-working. They motivate me to do my best so that we can continue to add excellent nurses to the healthcare workforce. The team of nursing faculty that I work with is incredibly talented and it is a pleasure to teach alongside each of them.
