Fast Facts
Over the years, AU became a very solid academic institution while keeping its core christian values. I enjoy working in the institution that takes these two concepts seriously. Teaching economics in a Christian friendly environment is a pleasure.
Unfortunately, not many students are exposed to economics in high school, so they come to principles class with very little preparation. It is a social science subject, but it differs from other social sciences, due to its applications of math, geometry, statistics and other tools, which are used to explain behaviours, of entities that make up one economy, like households, firms and government. One should understand that finance, as well as behavioral economics are closely related fields that offer very different, yet related concepts to economics.
