Fast Facts
We are a community in the fullest sense of the word. On our campus you will find a true liberal arts experience; one of breadth and inquiry, fraught with challenges and rewards, and with faculty dedicated to supporting students and the development of knowledge.
The creative and visual arts are an incredibly diverse field, with numerous career paths and opportunities. There’s never been a more exciting time to have a creative life that is viable, rewarding, and sustainable!
I maintain an active studio practice, and have exhibited in twenty states within the United States, and abroad in Italy, England, South Korea, Canada, Denmark, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Australia. I have been an artist in residence at Penland School of Craft, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and the Wildacres Foundation.
My students and colleagues. The Department of Art + Design has an astounding group of artist educators that I am fortunate to work with and be inspired by. I also get to work with students from Foundations to Seniors, which is a remarkable transition!
