Academic Background
Dr. Kimberly Speer is a professor of nursing at Anderson University. Her passion is pharmacology and patient education/empowerment. She received her Bachelor of Nursing from Lander University, Master of Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Clemson University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from The Medical University of South Carolina. She lives in Anderson with her husband, two children, and several four-legged kids.

I love sharing my faith and integrating faith into the program of study. I am passionate about having the students critically think; the smaller class sizes allow me as a professor to work more closely with students to help them develop critical thinking skills.
Nurses practice in many different areas in the community, not just in the inpatient hospital setting. Nurses play an important role in the community to keep people healthy.
