Fast Facts

I have taught and lectured at several universities in South Carolina. Anderson University is my favorite because of the smaller classrooms, the quality of the students and my colleagues, and the opportunity to integrate faith into the classroom.

The instructors at the School of Public Service and Administration at Anderson University are more than professors with advanced degrees. Our dean and each professor have years of experience in the field. In no other university will you find such a strong, experienced, credentialed, and diverse group of people teaching their college classes.

2010, I graduated from the FBI National Academy, 240th Session.
2014, I received the Jeffery D. Black, South Carolina Command College, Alumnus of the Year Award 2015
2016, I received a Senior Certification from the Society of Human Resource Management
In 2017, I retired at the rank of Major after a 31-year career in law enforcement.
In 2020, I became the first credentialed NIST Proctor in the Southeast and credentialed as a remote pilot for instruction.
In 2022, I received the Distinguished Speakers Award from the Virginia Association of Criminal Justice Educators.
In 2023, the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities awarded me the Excellence in Teaching Award.

The real paycheck for the job comes from watching the students learn and develop personal growth from their AU experience and witnessing their success after college.
