Department of Modern Languages & Cultures

To live in a global society requires an immersion into culture and with that immersion comes the joy of learning languages. Spanish continues to be one of the top-three-studied languages in the world and is the second-most frequently spoken language in the United States.

At AU, the one-on-one attention you receive from your professors will prepare you to enter the professional world with the linguistic and cultural training you need to communicate effectively, build relationships and augment your awareness of cultural nuances.
