BME in Music Education - Instrumental

Teach in a variety of settings

The Bachelor of Music Education with an Instrumental concentration prepares graduates to teach music in a variety of settings, including pre-kindergarten through grade 12 music and in individual lesson studios, with a focus on instrumental music.

The program’s philosophy is to mold our students into “musician educators,” who are proficient professional musicians who compose, perform or lead music in their communities and inspire students in their musical education pursuits.

As a student here you’ll have access to these world-class musical artists and be mentored in the highest standards of musicianship.

Career Outlook

Teacher candidates are strongly positioned to enter the workforce as both their skill set and character are in high demand in the classroom. Music education graduates typically go on to work in both public and private schools. Many graduates have earned Teacher of the Year awards with individual schools and school districts across the state.
