Program Overview

The Major in International Diplomacy and Global Leadership at Anderson University offers students a rigorous education in the dynamics of global affairs, diplomacy, and international politics. In addition to emphasizing critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication, students will engage with Christian values and moral principles, exploring how ethical reasoning applies to diplomacy and foreign policy. Grounded in the university’s mission of faith-based learning, the program highlights the importance of ethical behavior in addressing issues like conflict resolution, international law, human rights, and economics. Experiential learning opportunities, including internships, study abroad programs, and participation in Model United Nations, enrich the academic experience by allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings. Graduates will be equipped with the skills to navigate complex global challenges while fostering a profound sense of responsibility, ensuring their decisions contribute to a just and peaceful world.

Graduates of the Major in International Diplomacy and Global Leadership will be well-equipped for careers in government, international organizations, non-profit sectors, and global business, as well as for advanced studies in law, international relations, and public policy. Through a focus on ethical leadership and cross-cultural understanding, the program aims to develop servant leaders that will be prepared to create a better world through diplomacy and international engagement.

Admission Requirements
No previous degree is required to enroll in this program.
Official high school or GED transcripts will need to be submitted as part of the application process for this program. Transfer students must submit official transcripts from their previous school.
Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when the are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.
