The Board of Governors of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) approved Anderson University College of Health Professions Dean Dr. Donald Peace to serve a three-year term, starting in March 2026.

In this role, Dr. Peace will represent South Carolina’s healthcare executives nationally. This marks his second term, having served from 2020-2023.

The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is an international professional society of more than 51,000 healthcare leaders committed to advancing healthcare management excellence. It provides education, networking through 75 chapters, career resources, research, and promotes integrity, lifelong learning, leadership, and diversity/inclusion.

An ACHE Regent is an elected Fellow who serves a three-year term on the Council of Regents, representing a geographic jurisdiction, uniformed services branch, or Veterans Affairs. Regents act as key liaisons, facilitating communication between local chapters and the national Board of Governors, providing member input, and advising on policy. The Council elects the Board of Governors and Chair, influencing ACHE’s strategic direction.

Dr. Peace is a Fellow and possesses the FACHE credential demonstrating his expertise as a certified healthcare executive. The FACHE® board certification credential is the gold standard in healthcare management. Earned through rigorous requirements (experience, a minimum of a master’s degree, comprehensive board examination, references, continuing education credits, and healthcare and community board volunteerism), it distinguishes leaders for proven competency, ethical commitment, and dedication to ongoing professional growth and service.
