Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition

For the 2017-18 academic year, the cost of AU’s RN-BSN program is $460 per credit hour. Tuition for a full-time student taking 12 credit hours is $5,520 for the semester. Since students may receive credit for courses completed at other colleges or universities, tuition will vary for each student based on how many remaining credit hours they’ll need to complete the 120-credit program.

Applying for Financial Aid

Students interested in applying for financial aid must fill out the FAFSA – Free Application for Federal Student Aid. A FAFSA is required regardless of whether the student is seeking federal or state assistance. The application can be found at https://fafsa.ed.gov.

Federal aid can include grants, which don’t have to be repaid, and low-interest loans, which have flexible repayment options. To learn more about federal student aid, visit https://studentaid.ed.gov.

Federal grants such as the Pell Grant and Supplemental Opportunity Educational Grant are based on need as determined by the FAFSA as well as availability of funds therefore you will need to complete the FAFSA by the deadline in order to receive the best Financial Aid package available to you.

Students may also be eligible for the SC Tuition Grants Program, which provides need-based assistance to SC residents. To learn about state tuition grants, visit https://sctuitiongrants.org.

Federal aid is open to students regardless of where they live. SC Tuition Grants are available for students who are South Carolina residents.

Payment Plan

To manage costs, Anderson University students may participate in a tuition payment plan. Students may be eligible for a monthly payment schedule. There is a $35 fee to sign up for a payment plan. To learn more, visit Anderson Central and scroll down to “Payment Plans.”

Dates and Deadlines

Students applying for Fall 2018 must complete a 2018-19 FAFSA, which will be available Jan. 1, 2018.

The priority deadline to complete the FAFSA each year is March 1st. In order to receive the SC Tuition Grant students must complete the FAFSA by June 1st.
