Anderson University’s Summer Institute offers rising 9-12 graders the opportunity to explore an area of interest at South Carolina’s largest private university. Art & Design
June 4, 2025 – Rising 9th-12th Graders – Day Camp
Unleash your creativity this summer at The South Carolina School of the Arts Art and Design Camp for high schoolers! Explore and develop your artistic skills as you are encouraged and taught by professionals and educators in various studio disciplines. Get personalized guidance from professional artists and gain confidence in your craft—perfect for aspiring artists looking to engage further in their practice.

Choir and Vocal
July 13-17, 2026 – Rising 9th Graders-Incoming College Freshmen – Overnight or Day
Do you enjoy making music with others who love the art of singing? Anderson University voice and choral faculty will help you develop skills in ensemble singing, vocal technique, musicianship, vocal health, and auditioning.

Dance
June 1-5, 2026 – Rising 9th-12th Graders – Day Camp
Join Anderson University this summer for a week of dance! Students will spend each morning taking ballet, modern, and jazz/musical theatre classes (with an optional tap offering) under the instruction of Anderson University Dance faculty members and will conclude the week with a Parent Showcase on Friday. Please note this summer camp is available to students who consider themselves intermediate or advanced dancers.

Engineering
July 10, 17, 24 & 31, 2025 – Rising 9th Graders-Incoming College Freshmen – Day Camp
At Anderson University’s Engineering Summer Institute, you will be introduced to STEM education with an emphasis on the exciting field of engineering. This summer’s camp will be comprised of four one-day sessions. Each session will have two distinct parts: an in-depth tour of and interaction with a local engineering industry partner and an engaging, hands-on engineering activity led by AU College of Engineering faculty.

Cybersecurity
June 1 & 2, 2026 – Rising 9th-12th Graders – Day Camp
| Anderson University’s Center for Cybersecurity will offer an introductory program designed to show students how technology can be used to make our world safer and more secure. This summer’s camp features four hands-on half-day sessions held over two days. Participants will explore real-world computing and technology challenges through activities in ethical hacking, defensive cybersecurity, and digital forensics. Students will learn the fundamentals of investigating computer crime, preventing cyberattacks, and identifying and exploiting system vulnerabilities to better understand how cyber threats occur and how to stop them. |

Repertory Theatre
July 6-25, 2026 – Rising 7th-12th Graders – Day Camp
Anderson University’s Repertory Theatre gives young actors the opportunity to develop skills in acting, singing, and dancing under the guidance of Anderson University’s performance faculty and upperclassmen acting and musical theatre students. For young technicians and designers, our design faculty and staff will teach skills in set building, costume design, and lighting. Together, over the space of three weeks, all participants create a full-length musical open to the community. This year’s show will be the full-length musical version of The Addams Family.

Nursing
June 15-17, 2026 – Rising 9th – 12th Graders
Camp NURSE LIFE will showcase what it takes to become a nurse through offering hands-on introductions to the field with spotlights on fundamentals, safety, and medical terminology. The 3-day event will further introduce the student to health assessment, vital signs, and the healthcare team. Camp NURSE LIFE will give participants a bird’s-eye view of what nursing education looks like.

Leadership and Diplomacy Fellowship
June 1 – 4, Rising Juniors and Seniors
Anderson University’s Leadership and Diplomacy Summer Fellowship is an immersive program designed to prepare emerging student leaders with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to navigate complex cultural and global challenges. Over the fellowship, participants will engage in interactive seminars, simulations, and workshops centered on diplomacy, negotiation, cross-cultural communication, and ethical decision-making. Guided by faculty experts, policy professionals, and practitioners, fellows will explore key themes such as international relations, conflict resolution, leadership theory, and public service. The program also provides experiential learning through service projects, site visits, and networking opportunities with leaders in government, non-profits, and international organizations. Open to rising juniors and seniors in high school, the overnight fellowship will sharpen leadership potential, strengthen diplomatic skills, and cultivate a global perspective that empowers participants to lead with wisdom, empathy, and integrity in their future endeavors.

Ambassador Andrew Young Fellowship
May 11 – 16, 2026 – Current College Students
The Ambassador Young Fellowship program focuses on six key principles from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life: love, conscience, freedom, justice, perseverance, and hope. Participants will study these principles, which offer a path to unity and peace in a divided world. This program aims to inspire young people to model Dr. King’s teachings and create positive change in their communities.
Athletic Camps and Clinics
May – August
We offer both youth and prospect camps throughout the summer months in many different sports, and we welcome you to come learn from and train with the Trojans! Our youth camps are a great way for your son or daughter to improve their game and make new friends as they receive top-of-the-line instruction from our coaches and players.
AU Scholars Day

AU Scholars Day invites top-notch high school students for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn about Anderson University. With a selection of academic workshops, behind-the-scenes campus tours, and a panel discussion with key institutional leaders, students will gain incredible insight into the culture and happenings at Anderson University. Selected students for the AU Scholars Program will be notified in the spring.
