Students that enrolled prior to August 2019

The purpose of the Curriculum Enhancement Program (CEP) is to enrich student’s academic experience by providing co-curricular opportunities that reinforce the educational and personal development of students within the framework of the 18 Common Learning Goals (CLGs) as outlined in the AU Core Curriculum.

Successful completion for the Curriculum Enhancement Program is required in order to graduate from Anderson University. All traditional full-time students must participate in a minimum of twenty-four (24) approved CEPs to be eligible for graduation.

First-year students arriving in the fall semester (freshman and/or transfers with less than 13 credits from another university or college after high school graduation) are required to participate in three (3) CEPs that are designed to provide knowledge and skills that support their freshman-year experience and orientation to Anderson University. These will be completed by the end of the student’s first year at Anderson. The remaining twenty-one (21) CEPs may be accumulated at varying rates over the student’s semesters of attendance but must be completed before graduation. Every student is required to scan his or her own student ID following the CEP. Students who do not have their own IDs with them as they exit the CEP will not receive credit.

There are no exemptions for meeting this graduation requirement. Students that fail to meet the minimum requirements of 24 CEPs or students that violate the Community Values and Expectations while in attendance at a CEP will be subject to discipline in the Office of Student Development.

Information about the Curriculum Enhancement Program, as well as information about progress toward fulfillment of CEP requirements, may be obtained from the Office of Student Development located on the third floor of the G. Ross Anderson Student Center. Students are encouraged to access the CEP calendar and to check their individual CEP totals online at www.andersonuniversity.edu/CEP or log in to your Self Service account.
