How A Day Impacts You and Our Beloved Campus

If you’ve ever wondered how you can make an impact here at Anderson University and if you love to celebrate the campus that we call home, then you’ll want to circle the date of March 31, 2026, on your calendar! Why? Well, that’s because it’s A Day at Anderson University!

A Day is a campus-wide celebration of giving that has a huge impact on our students, programs, and facilities in so many ways. A Day is not just a fundraiser, but it is a way to take our appreciation and turn it into action for scholarships, programs, and ministries. A Day is a celebration where the Trojan family comes together to shape the future of AU. A Day is something that every single student can be a part of, no matter how big or small it may seem.

What makes A Day even more special is that it is not only a day of giving, but it is also a day of community. It’s a day of seeing our students, faculty, and staff come together for a common purpose: making Anderson better not only for ourselves, but for those who will come after us. It’s one of those days that reminds you what it really means to be part of the AU family.

Why A Day Matters

So why does A Day matter? A Day is all about celebrating what makes Anderson special and taking the action steps to make it even better. Every gift, regardless of the amount, helps areas that have a direct impact on your experience as a student. That includes our academic programs and labs that prepare you for your future, our athletic facilities that build school spirit, campus improvements that enhance your daily life, and our ministry programs that help you grow spiritually.

It also plays a huge role in scholarships, which allow students to afford an education here at Anderson, and in the senior class gift, which leaves a lasting impact on campus that all future Trojans can enjoy. For many students, these scholarships are what allow them to be at Anderson in the first place.

If you have benefited from anything at AU, whether it is a class you have loved, a team you are a part of, a scholarship you have received, or even just spaces on campus where you spend time, A Day is your chance to give back and be a part of continuing that impact on someone else.

Where Your Gift Goes

The Anderson Fund is assisting us in offering more scholarships and improving programs that our students use on a daily basis. Campus Ministries is working hard at providing our students with opportunities to serve on mission trips and go deeper in their faith, both locally and globally. The Center for Cybersecurity is working on developing a hands-on lab for our students to prepare them for a career in this exciting new area. One Anderson is working on providing unity, leadership, and meaningful conversations among different communities on our campus. The Christian Ministry Foundation Endowed Scholarship is helping students who feel called to ministry graduate ready to serve their calling without financial burdens.

There are also specific projects within each college that have a direct impact on student experience—from designing cutting-edge learning spaces to funding research projects, competitions, creative spaces, and athletic facilities. These are more than merely ideas; they are real and happening improvements that we will see, use, and greatly benefit from.

It can be easy to fall into the mindset that just one person can’t make a noticeable difference in a whole university, especially as a student. But A Day serves as proof that if we come together and contribute just a little, it can make a huge impact. It is a great way to be a part of something bigger than yourself! Giving is also a form of school spirit. It’s not the typical going out and supporting events and wearing AU gear, but it’s giving back to a place that is investing in you every day!

How to Get Involved

Getting involved is as simple as going to the official A Day page and supporting a cause you care about by giving what you can. There’s no expectation for how much you can give because every little bit counts and will help get Anderson moving forward.

You can get involved just by showing up! Attend events, bring your friends along, and take part in activities because that is exactly what makes A Day so special!

March 31st is not just any ordinary day of the year; it’s an opportunity to celebrate what makes Anderson University special, to connect with our community, and to be a part of something that truly makes an impact. So come out, get involved, and take advantage of all day has to offer! Be a part of the fun, be a part of the giving, and be a part of what makes A Day 2026 so special. Because at Anderson, giving isn’t just something we do; it’s who we are.
