Spring Commencement Undergraduate Ceremonies

Student Itinerary

6:30 AM – Graduates report to Henderson lobby for check-in. Make sure to be on time for roll call (reviewing each graduate name for accuracy and pronunciation) and important ceremony announcements.

9:00 AM – Commencement Ceremony

Diploma Frame: Anderson University diploma frames are available to purchase on our website. The diploma frame is a custom order; please allow 4-6 weeks for the item to arrive. This item is not eligible for expedited shipping.

Diploma Distribution: Graduates will receive empty diploma covers during the ceremony. The diplomas will not be available on the day of the ceremony. Diplomas will be mailed by June 27, 2025.

Required Dress: Commencement participants must be dressed appropriately in attire suitable for formal church services or professional engagements. No jeans, shorts, or casual footwear (e.g., flip-flops, athletic shoes, etc.) are permitted. Avoid high heels and slick-soled shoes to limit the chance of slips or falls.

Cap and Gown: Students are not allowed to wear cords or stoles unless approved by the Office of the Provost and the Registrar’s office. Caps cannot be decorated. Students will be asked to remove the cap if it is decorated.

Student Parking:

All graduates should park in the following lots:

  • Village and Lawton
  • Student Center and Abney
  • Kingsley Parking lot

Graduates can be dropped off in front of Rainey Fine Arts Center from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM

Ceremony FAQ'S

  • If the event is held on the Alumni Lawn, there will not be a guest limit.
  • If it rains, the ceremony will be held at NewSpring Church. There will be a limit of 6 guests per student. The guest limit will be enforced.

Guests can arrive as early as 7:30 AM.

The ceremony lasts around 2.5 hours.

Yes, shuttle service will be available for those who need it. The Trojan Transit will be available to transport guests for Commencement from 7:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

The restrooms are located in Johnston Hall, Merritt Administration Building, and Vandiver Hall.

The University is contracted with Pro Pics to provide photography for graduation. No photographers outside of the University will be allowed on the premises. After the event, you are more than welcome to use the campus for a photo shoot. To order photos: www.AUphotos.com
