Anderson University’s Department of Student Involvement invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Assistant Director of Student Involvement and New Student Programs. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The University seeks a candidate with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning.

The Assistant Director of Student Involvement and New Student Programs serves as a team member in the Office of Student Involvement and New Student Programs with the purpose of supporting intentional student engagement. Under the supervision and leadership of the Director of Student Involvement and New Student Programs, the Assistant Director will provide support by overseeing the First Year Experience program and managing Clubs and Organizations functions. The Assistant Director will also support and assist with the Student Government Association and day-to-day implementation of Base Camp initiatives. As a Student Involvement team member, this position is expected to partner closely with the Student Activities Office to assist in a variety of student activities and college-wide initiatives throughout the year. This student-centered position will require regular evening and weekend hours.

Knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a master’s degree in student development, higher education, or closely related field is preferred. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or other database software is also required. Must be able to work with a diverse student population and demonstrate commitment to the holistic development of students. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is essential. Those who possess strong organizational, intrapersonal, and leadership skills are encouraged to apply.
