Bachelor of Arts (BA), Christian Studies: Pastoral Ministry

Program Overview

A Christian Studies: Pastoral Ministry major will prepare you to serve a congregation with love, strength, and clarity. Your classes cover topics like pastoral care and counseling, pastoral ministry, and preaching. This program will help mold you into a pastor who is a servant leader and preaches to transform the people who trust in you. You’ll leave Anderson University equipped to navigate the nuances of leading your congregation and your staff. Upon completion of the program, you’ll be equipped the knowledge and skills needed for a wide variety of pastoral positions.

You will leave Anderson University equipped to navigate the nuances of leading your congregation and your staff. Counseling, teaching, preaching, hiring and firing staff; the all will be a part of the real-world skill set you will bring to churches. Your training will prepare you for a wide variety of pastoral positions, whether it be leading a church or ministry, being a chaplain within an organization, or starting your own Christian nonprofit.

No previous degree is required to enroll in this program.
Official high school or GED transcripts will need to be submitted as part of the application process for this program. Transfer students must submit official transcripts from their previous school.

Two essays (prompts) or official SAT, ACT, or CLT scores are required during the application process.
Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when the are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.
