The mission of the Residence Life department is to educate, challenge, and serve students through intentional interactions within a Christ centered community.
Learning Outcomes
Our hope is that students who live in our communities will be challenged to grow in the following ways.

Spiritual Formation:
As members of the Anderson University residential community, students will be challenged and encouraged to grow in their personal relationship with Christ, drawing connections between their actions and beliefs.

Community Living:
As members of the Anderson University residential community, students will be challenged and encouraged to understand and develop genuine, meaningful interpersonal relationships for the purpose of engaging in healthy, productive community living both in college and beyond.

Stewardship:
As members of the Anderson University residential community, students will be challenged and encouraged to understand that all things are gifts from God and to demonstrate responsible stewardship of these gifts including: talents, possessions, time, living spaces, relationships, and education.

Identity Development:
As members of the Anderson University residential community, students will be challenged and encouraged to develop a sense of “self” and confidence in their unique, God-given abilities.

Civic and Global Responsibility:
As members of the Anderson University residential community, students will be challenged and encouraged to increase awareness of societal and global issues, learn to view these concerns through the lens of scripture, and develop a desire to actively respond.
