Dr. Luke Stamps, a widely published Baptist theologian, will join the faculty of the College of Christian Studies and Clamp Divinity School at Anderson University this fall.

Dr. Stamps has served since 2012 as assistant professor of Christian studies at California Baptist University in Riverside, California. A native of Alabama, he is a graduate of Auburn University and earned his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. His PhD was earned in the area of systematic theology.

“Luke Stamps is one of the emerging leaders in the next generation of Southern Baptist theologians, and we are delighted to have him join our faculty team in Christian Studies,” says Dr. Michael Duduit, dean of the College of Christian Studies and Clamp Divinity School. “He will be a tremendous asset to Anderson University, both in the classroom and in his work as a scholar.”

Dr. Stamps has published scholarly articles and chapters in books, and has three books forthcoming from publishers for which he is author or co-editor. He is a former pastor and previously served as an assistant editor for The Gospel Coalition.

He will assume his faculty role at Anderson University in August.
